00:38 – Chris introduces today’s guest; 14-year-old entrepreneur Caleb Maddix, who is also the author of the best-selling book Keys to Success for Kids, founder and CEO of Kids4Success, founder of Kids4Success.TV
01:08 – Caleb introduces himself to the listeners, summarizing what he gives people in three simple words: motivation, inspiration, and education. Through his books, through speaking, coaching, videos, periscopes, interviews, he motivates people
02:10 – Caleb’s shares his story with us. Find out how a desire to become the shortstop for New York Yankees revealed the intense passion and drive this young man has. Given that his dad is also a coach/speaker, Caleb has had the opportunity to meet a lot of kids and adults. What struck him most? Their distinct lack of passion.
From this, he made it his mission to help people create a passion
Caleb remembers telling his dad; “You know what, dad? I want to inspire people.” From there, he started making videos. At 12 years of age, he wrote his best-selling book and finished it in a week.
“But it all started from me having a passion and meeting people who didn’t and I wanted to help share the passion I had with them.”
06:15 – Chris and Caleb have a shared passion for sports. “They actually say, you know, that the people who do the best in business; sportsmen, martial artists, and people that are in the navy or the army.”
Caleb: “I think the reason why is because it, it instils, like, a work in you, you know? You have to work to become good. And kids who don’t normally play sports, they don’t really have anything to work for. They go to school, they kinda go through the motions, so. I agree with you, I’ve seen that happen.”
06:50 – Caleb offers advice to people who are still stuck on their way to Point B, or who haven’t even started moving. He illustrates his advice through something he admits is slowly turning into his favourite self saying.
Chris: “You’re in business, you’re making money, you’re following your passion. And it’s likely there’s a bunch of people listening to this who’ve been on the planet a lot longer than you, and are still stuck in their story and not doing it. So, from a person who’s doing it – from you – what’s your advice for these people that just aren’t starting and aren’t doing it?”
Caleb: “Well, you know, it’s cliché, but; you’re not getting any younger. … You have no better opportunity than right now to be successful, because tomorrow is an extra day that you didn’t get to work.”
Caleb: “The gun that kills the most people is the ‘gunna.’ I’m gunna write the book, I’m gunna start the business …”
Caleb: “To every single person out there who’s thinking about starting, my advice to you would be; why not start? The greatest idea was never made because somebody had that idea but they never executed on it. And I guarantee you, out of everybody watching this interview, somebody has an idea as good as Apple, they just won’t execute on it because they’re afraid.”
09:08 – Chris brings up the problem with people and their “I’m too’s” – “I’m too old,” “I’m too young,” “I’m too short.” Or their constant delay tactics; “I’m not enough,” “I need to go and get a coaching certificate,” “I need to go do this first,” and so on. How does Caleb deal with the imposter in the brain that tells him he’s too young?
10:28 – Caleb: “Your disadvantage can also be your advantage.” What does he mean by this? How do you turn your supposed shortcomings into the edge you need?
11:31 – Caleb shares a little more about Kids4Success.TV. How does he help kids? His recently launched program, Kids4Success, is a coaching program targeted specifically towards kids. What do they get when they sign up? What happens? If you want to find out more about this fresh new program, check out Kids4Success.TV
13:29 – Caleb shares a particularly massive result from his program. While there have been numerous kids who’ve hit incredible achievements thanks to Caleb’s coaching, this particular client really made him reflect and reiterate his why – his reason for doing what he does. His motivation.
15:00 – Caleb shares his future plans; where does he see himself in 10, 15, or 20 years? His biggest goal, currently, is to hit six figures this year. He plans to be a millionaire by 16 and a billionaire by 30. Along the way, he also wants to write 10 more best-sellers, do a TED talk, speak in front of 100,000 people, and to make $10,000 every single month.

- Earn – put forth the effort; work
- Return – always give back
